World Sight Day 2024 – Child Eye Health

Thursday, October 10 is #WorldSightDay! It’s a reminder for all of us to love our eyes and prioritize our eye health.

This year there is a special focus on child eye health. Our teams worldwide are joining the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) and the global eye health community in reminding everyone, everywhere, of the importance of loving your eyes.

Healthy eyes enable children to learn, play, and thrive, setting the foundation for a brighter future.
That’s why eye health for children is more important than ever.

This year, we’re challenging everyone to consider the health of their eyes and book their annual eye exam. We also encourage you to download the FREE eye health resources below!

Our Mission

For over 60 years, we have been working to prevent blindness and restore sight, thanks to the support and compassion of our global community.

We know that almost everyone on the planet will experience an eye health issue in their lifetime, but more than a billion people do not have access to eye care services to correct, treat or prevent vision loss.

Whether it’s a pair of eyeglasses or more complex care like cataract surgery, we believe eye health care should be accessible, available and affordable to everyone everywhere.

Get involved!

Our global community is growing every day and there are lots of ways to get involved – follow us on social media, subscribe to our eNews or make a donation today! Take the pledge to #LoveYourEyes and encourage others to do the same, and follow us on social media and share our posts.
