Operation Eyesight is part of a trial with the Economic Advantages of Readers for New Vision (EARN) Trial pilot in Kisii County, Kenya along with partners KEMRI, International Centre for Eye Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Peek Vision, and Kisii Eye Hospital, Kisii County Health Department and the Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital.

Canada: Children in Maskwacîs Receive Eye Exams and Glasses Through Collaboration with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, LensCrafters & Operation Eyesight Universal

In April 28-May2, Operation Eyesight worked with the Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission to facilitate a vision clinic with LensCrafters, and the North America affiliate of the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation. The clinic helped addressed vision problems for between 500 and 600 students. Most students in need of prescription eyeglasses received them onsite.

Malawi: The Operation Eyesight Malawi team takes part as a partner in providing free eye surgeries in Mangoshi, Malawi.

The Islamic Health Association of Malawi has provided free eye surgery to about 80 people from various traditional authorities (T/As) in Mangochi District.

Speaking on Wednesday when winding up the free medical services at Mangochi District Hospital, the association’s programme officer Mussah Chatuwa said the initiative sought to reach out to people with eye problems in the district.

Kenya: Operation Eyesight helps distribute antibiotics

Operation Eyesight partnered Sightsavers and the ministries of health in Kenya and Tanzania to distribute antibiotics to more than 1.3 million people with trachoma or at risk of developing the infection, providing much-needed treatment to communities along the Kenya-Tanzania border.
