In April 28-May2, Operation Eyesight worked with the Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission to facilitate a vision clinic with LensCrafters, and the North America affiliate of the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation. The clinic helped addressed vision problems for between 500 and 600 students. Most students in need of prescription eyeglasses received them onsite.

We partnered with India Vision Institute (IVI) to screen 40,000 schoolchildren in 300 government and government-aided schools to improve vision among schoolchildren in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. The program reached 17,000 students, addressing uncorrected refractive errors and providing free spectacles to those in need.

Operation Eyesight partnered Sightsavers and the ministries of health in Kenya and Tanzania to distribute antibiotics to more than 1.3 million people with trachoma or at risk of developing the infection, providing much-needed treatment to communities along the Kenya-Tanzania border.
