Irene is a Chartered Accountant with almost 20 years of non profit financial experience. Irene started her career in public practice auditing Calgary based non profits. Then worked for an airline building capital reporting, internal controls and implementing IFRS 15, while traveling the world. Most recently, Irene managed financial reporting for 9 global NGOs across the world, including India, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and North America. Irene has also played a critical role implementing financial systems.

In her spare time, Irene volunteers for the Calgary Foundation and coaches basketball for Special Olympics.
