Director, Marketing and Communications
Elizabeth Roden is an accomplished communicator with a passion for international development and intercultural communication. She joined Operation Eyesight in 2014 and now leads our Marketing & Communications team from Calgary.
Elizabeth has an undergraduate degree in public relations from Mount Royal University and an MA in Intercultural and International Communication from Royal Roads University. Her master’s research, supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, analyzed how international eye health NGOs represent the issue of avoidable blindness.
Elizabeth places high value on family, health and education, and on setting an example – for her two young daughters and others – of how, together, we can truly make a difference in our global community. When she’s not at her computer or chasing after the kids, you can find her strolling through a local park, packing up the car to hit the beach or whipping up a new recipe.
